Nanushi no Taki Garden
Nanushi no Taki Garden (名主の滝公園) is a Japanese stroll garden close to Oji Inari Shrine, and is a 7-minute walk from Oji Station of the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line, and the Toden Arakawa Line.
This garden was initially created in a rich farmer's house in the Edo period for the public to take a rest. After the feudal times came to an end, it changed hands several times, and now it's a public garden run by Kita-ku (Kita City).
The garden is created on a hillside and composed of four waterfalls, a stream and a pond. Since this area became too urbanized for a natural waterfall to exist, the water pumped out from the ground is circulated for the waterfalls nowadays.
