Tori-no-ichi at Hanazono Shrine
In November, dozens of Shinto shrines in Tokyo hold events called the Tori-no-ichi twice (or thrice, depending by the year.) At this event, decorated rakes are sold as talismans which gather fortune. Of The Tori-no-ichi held in Tokyo proper, the largest is the one held at Asakusa Otori Jinja Shrine, and this held at Hanazono Jinja Shrine is in the second place, but Asakusa Otori Jinja's may be way TOO crowded, so going to Hanazono Shrine instead might be a better option for a foreigner.
