Rokugo Shrine

Rokugo ShrineRokugo Jinja (六郷神社), founded in 1057, is a Shinto shrine which is an 8-minute walk from Keikyu Line Rokugo-dote Station. Rokugo-dote Station is one station north of Keikyu-Kawasaki Station, which is across the Tama-gawa River. Rokugo Shrine a middle-sized, neat shrine.

Shaden is the main building of the shrine. At this shrine, it is composed of the Haiden, the Heiden, and the Honden. The Haiden is where you offer prayers, the Honden is where the divinity is enshrined, and the Heiden connect these two. The present Honden was completed in 1719 but the Haiden and the Heiden was reconstructed in 1987.
