Shounji Temple

Shounji (祥雲寺), which is a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Hiroo Station, is a neat Rinzai Zen temple.
It somewhat resembles Zen temples in Kyoto.

Tokoji is a subsidiary temple inside the gate.

Korin'in is another subsidiary temple inside the gate. There are several temples like these.

Hondo, or the main hall, was created in the mid-19th century.

In the cemetery, there are stone tombs of the Kuroda clan, the feudal lord who ruled around modern-day Fukuoka City.
